2 minutes. Your URL. A customer profile worth using.

Most founders can describe their product. They can't describe their customer. Not in a way that actually changes how they sell.

HubSpot for Startups built a free tool to fix that. Paste in your URL, answer a few quick questions, and it generates a structured profile of your best-fit customer. Firmographics, buying triggers, the works.

🪷 A Note from Our Founder

Hullo, friends.

For the last six months of her life, I carried Kenna up and down the stairs for bed. Each night, I’d ask where she wanted to sleep.

The mommy bed always won.

She had grown afraid of sleeping alone and liked knowing she could reach out and find me there. So I’d tuck her in, we’d read a few books, and I’d lie beside her until she fell asleep.

In the morning, I’d often find her sitting in bed, watching her tablet and happily singing along—sometimes in English, sometimes Korean or Portuguese. And because Kenna was a creature of habit, she always greeted me the same way:

“Good morning, Mommy. What are we going to do today?”

Sometimes the adventure was a walk around the neighborhood with her wheelchair, tablet, and treasure bag. Sometimes it was a doctor’s appointment. Whatever the day held, we did it together.

That’s why I had to change the bedroom.

It’s hard to heal when you fall asleep grieving and wake up to a house that feels painfully quiet, surrounded by memories of everything that changed.

So I made seven specific changes to help the room feel softer, calmer, and more restorative. Later, I discovered that what I’d done was recommended by neuroscience and feng shui.

The result is a room where I can rest again, and even begin to dream about better days ahead.

If life feels heavy for you, I hope these ideas help you create a space you can linger in and love.

🗒️ What I’m Planning

🛏️ 7 Ways to Make Your Bedroom Feel Like a Serene Retreat

Simple changes for a cozy bedroom.

Everything about this room felt wrong. So…with some help, I changed it!

7 Changes I Made With Zero Regrets:

1. Change the color story.
Paint is huge because it changes the entire emotional temperature of a room. You don’t need to repaint everything. Sometimes just creating an accent wall is enough.

This wasn’t the color I originally planned to use, but we couldn’t find that color. And this one, as an author, had deep meaning.

2. Replace bedding that carries the old version of the room.
Sheets, comforter, blankets, pillows. This is one of the fastest ways to make a bedroom feel physically and emotionally different. I bought dusty rose damask striped sheets and changed from a furry white winter comforter to a boho-inspired neutral. (Yes, that’s a king comforter on a queen bed.)

3. Soften the windows.
Curtains make a ridiculous difference. They add privacy, softness, texture, and a sense of cocooning.

I had none when I moved in. And I decided this was a big change I needed.

So…I installed a curtain rod with my pink power drill. And the curtains are blush. I picked a curtain with a fringe because the shower curtain has a fringe too. (Only the shower curtain is blue…)

And there are magnetic bead tiebacks awaiting a cuphook.

4. Declutter the surfaces.
Not “become a minimalist monk.” 😂 Just remove the visual noise that makes your brain keep processing things when it is supposed to be resting.

5. Clear the hidden chaos too.
Closet, drawers, bathroom cabinets. This matters because even if nobody sees it, you know it is there. I ended up doing a brutal culling of clothes I no longer wore and things I would never use.

6. Carry the feeling into your en suite.
A new shower curtain, towels, bath mat, or cleared counter can change the whole experience. For me, it was time to change the liner, so I decided to change the curtain too.

7. Add something that makes the room feel intentionally yours now.
A lamp. Art. A photograph. A candle. A pillow. A plant. Something chosen for this version of you, not inherited from an old chapter. I changed out the lamps. And I framed Kenna’s handprint.
